Thank you for 5k+!!! (+🩷GIFTS🩵+quick walkthrough)

Thank you so much for 5k+ downloads & plays!

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who played the game, streamed it, posted videos, left kind comments, gave us high ratings, followed us and even donated! We honestly never expected PYCSIR to receive this much attention and recognition. We've never received this amount of love before, and it's been overwhelming in the best way possible.🥹

I can't even express how happy it makes me just to see the numbers grow and read that people liked it. Your support means the world to us. Thank you all!!!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Of course, we've also received some low ratings and critical feedback, and actually I feel a little glad, because it means the game has reached a wider audience, including people for whom it might not quite be the right fit.

That said, if you enjoyed the game, we'd really appreciate it if you could take a moment to leave a 5★ rating and/or a kind comment. They help with visibility—and more importantly, they remind us that for every negative voice, there are many more people who had a positive experience with our work.☺️ That’s what truly matters to us.

Gifts

To show our appreciation, Norika has created some cute chibis for you to enjoy!

We've also prepared a 20-page script note, where we added commentary on the lines, explaining why the characters say what they say, and the deeper meanings behind their words.

(plain version)

Originally, the script note was part of our upcoming dev bundle for PYCSIR, which we're currently putting together for our Patreon Kickoff event. The bundle will also include materials from the upcoming extended version! But we've decided to release the script notes for free as a thank-you, and a little preview.😊

You can download the high-resolution chibis, their transparent sticker versions, and the script note either from the attachments or from the Download section!

Patreon

As we mentioned before, we're launching a Patreon Kickoff event, and here's what you'll get:

  • First month 30% off membership
  • An art pack gift from our main project Taishō Romance Theater
  • A dev bundle gift from PYCSIR, plus your name in the credits of its upcoming extended version!

If you'd like to support us, now's the perfect time!

Walkthrough

Though people probably no longer need this, we still thought it’d be nice to have it somewhere. So here are the 4 endings:

  • Snacks: choose milk, apple, and/or cake

  • Udon: whenever you choose udon, you go straight to this ending

  • Steak: whenever you choose steak, you go straight to this ending

  • Leave: don’t take any items when you first open the fridge, and close the door directly

Also, some text varies slightly if you choose 1/2 items instead of 3.

Future Plan

We're not quite sure yet what the final shape of the Yaoi Jam extended version will be, but it'll stay within a mini-game scale. We're probably going to add around 1000–1500 words. Right now, we're discussing the plot, trying to expand more on character backgrounds and relationships.

What we've got in mind so far feels very different from the current thriller/horror vibe though, and it's leaning more towards... romcom?! So we're thinking hard about how to merge those tones without it feeling too jarring.

We're also adding some special designs and a little Easter egg/achievement system, which we hope will be fun to explore! Also the extended version will be fully voiced! YEAHHHHHHHH!🎉

Once that's out, we're planning to join Spooktober Jam this September, since Norika has an idea she really, really wants to make into a game, and we've already brainstormed some cool design ideas for it. Stay tuned!👻

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

All the best,

SweetSome

Congratulations on the game and all of your accomplishments!!
I can't read the script note though, it's too blurry T_T

Thank you and so sorry about the script note! I'll make and add a clean version now, like the ordinary white paper black letters. Any font preferences that might help the situation?

Oh wait, are you refering to the screenshot in this post, or the pdf file in the attachments?

I meant the screenshot in the post, the PDF file is high quality, my apologies TwT

No worries at all! The screenshots were blurred as they contain some spoilers and I don't want people to run straight into them lol. Please read the pdf file ^ω^
