This game was originally made for the O2A2 Jam 2025, a micro Visual Novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1000 word limit.
Also we made an extended version for the Yaoi Jam 2025!
🧊 Synopsis
It's a sweltering summer midnight.
You open the refrigerator, searching through the nearly empty shelves for something to fill your stomach.
That's right, you just want a midnight snack.
So how did it ever come to this?
The Sweethearts 🧊
Male | 26 years old | 176 cm
A talented freelance music creator, often keeping irregular hours and living on a reversed schedule. Those around him say he lacks emotional intelligence.
He has a childhood friend, closer than anyone else. But one month ago, that friend died.
Male | 26.5 years old | 188 cm
The childhood friend who died accidentally a month ago.
In life, he was a popular and strikingly charismatic model, effortlessly admired by people of all genders, and bound by no limits. He was not exactly known for being easy to get along with.

Note:
Due to the limitations of the O2A2 jam, this version of the game includes some special code to stay within the rules. You can learn more about it here.
As a result, clicking doesn't always work to progress the dialogue. If that happens, try clicking somewhere else instead—preferably the upper half of the screen.
This issue is fixed in the Yaoi Jam extended version. Thanks for your understanding!

when I first downloaded this game, I thought it's gonna have some comedy into it bcs of the title, didn't expect for the game to have such a interesting n disturbing story lol,, I really like this game n the artstyle a lot :)

The storyline was so cool?? Something about Akito loving Akira so much, that when the latter wanted to go seperate ways, Akito kills him (at least, that's how I interpreted it). I'm so normal about both of these characters, and their relationship with one another <3

I just finished this game and wow! I collected all of the easter eggs, went through different dialogue variations and the way the details of what happened and the history between Akira and Akito slowly unfolded with each playthrough was done very well and left a lasting impression (especially the final easter egg). Akito's VA knocked it out of the park, capturing the range of emotions from derisive to reminiscent to longing to possessive. As a childhood friends lover this was a nice twist to the trope and an overall great game!

By 5th ending do you mean the 5th easter egg? For No. 5 you'll need to save during the game, i.e. when you're facing Akira, through the quick menu on top left corner. Hope this helps! :)

No. 4 is the "reset" one! When you click on the reset marker on the title screen, you should see a sticky note. Try choosing "no" and then "yes," and once you've chosed both options, this one should unlock.
For No. 5 you'll need to save during the game, i.e. when you're facing Akira, through the quick menu.

oh, second easter egg.... due to my sheer stupidity and lack of creative competence, it has led to this predicament...... I can't find out how to unlock it! I'm so sorry to hear that! Someone just asked a similar question so I'll just copy and paste the reply here as well: I personally choose milk-apple-cake which leads me into the Snack ending, then Udon, Steak and Leave. Just my way of making sure I don't miss anything.
You might miss out the Leave ending for 2nd playthrough? As that's a common mistake people made in our beta test lol. Hope this helps! ^^

Hello there, for the 2nd one, I personally choose milk-apple-cake which leads me into the Snack ending, then Udon, Steak and Leave. Just my way of making sure I don't miss anything. You might miss out the Leave ending for 2nd playthrough?

i saw this game on a whim while searching for other games and i decided to try it out and damn am i impressed.

Sooo looking forward to Taisho and the updated version of this VN for the yaoi jam - what a fun concept, I love the dark theme contrast with bright colors, cutesy food, soft MC voice. Everything works well together! I'm sooo intrigued by the characters back story, when they met, their feelings, everything!

Hi there, please refer to the walkthough here for endings! It's essentially a visual novel so just pointing & clicking should be enough to guide you to the end, where there will be a screen showing the items you picked.
Do note that there is an issue with clicking though, if clicking doesn't work, try clicking the top of the screen or using the space key to progress. Hope this will be helpful ^^
